I thought you were a Mac user? Am I wrong? Or are you being seduced by the dark side - there is help available you know!!!
Seriously though, interesting bit of kit, but how does it compare to a 12\" iBook/Powerbook. Does the reduction in size make up for it\'s reduced processing power and usability? Is it really worth the bunce when even a 12\" Powerbook retails for £300 less which would get you a large iPod and card reader for the field.
That said, a colleague at work has just picked up a 15\" widescreen Tosh laptop and it has a mighty impressive screen - excellent contrast AND brightness for a TFT, although in this context, it is a bit of a monster.

Richard wrote the article. Not I. I posted up the link to it. (I can\'t get this to occur automatically yet)
Anyhow,
I do have a Sony Vaio - PCG-SRX99. It was useless with E-1 files. To slow.
I had a 12 ibook, and it was ok. But Still slow. If I hade 10 images no biggie. But with 200-400 files to slow for me.
I have now a 15\" powerbook, doesn\'t move very well. To big to carry around some times. But for a Wedding, I usually have an assistant along, he gets to carry, spare lenses, bodies, lights, and the laptop, sometimes a projector too.
Anyhow, Richard may be onto something.
It would allow you to edit files... Better than and Epson 2000.
If I don\'t have my laptop around I usually back up to my Ipod. It is SLOW! But its only a backup. So no biggie.
Glad to see you back.

Hi Russ
I owed a 1Ghz 12\" Powerbook, with 1.25Gb of ram - My wife now uses this powerbook. I couldn\'t use it, it was just plain too slow.
This little libretto really does work well, it doesn\'t feel as if its slow, I found the 12\" powerbook did struggle, my wife loves it, but then again all she uses it for is web and email, so its not really using it to its full potential.
Thinking about it, I will run them side by side for a few Photoshop tasks, when I get a chance...
As to cost, for the same money I could of got a real nice 15\" laptop of some sorts no doubt with all the bells and whisles, but I won\'t carry that around like I do now, also the smaller something gets the price seems to go up expotentially!!
The LCD is one of the new LED backlit ones, real super bright.
I used a widescreen Vaio a couple of days ago, immediately it was easier on the eyes and on the fingers, while still being quite small, it was 1.4kg and had a 10\" widescreen with intregrated \'motioneye\' camera. I did like it, and I think it would be easier to work with, but it was still that little too big to be replacement for my PDA.
When I first saw the Epson2000 (back in Feb), I reckon its not that far of in terms of size with the lid down.
