Shock, horror, I\'m selling up & moving on

Yep, the lack of affordable long telephoto option and the non arrival of the E3 have made up my mind. So I\'m jumping ship and have a load of gear to sell if anyone is interested, please email me at ian@fourthirdsphoto.com.

E1 & HLD2, 7-14, 14-54, 50-200, 150 f2, Ring flash & Twin flash with controller. FL50, EC 14, EX 25. All going under the hammer.

I have so much \'E\' stuff I think I will stick it out, I love the D2x (remember the photo show in birmingham?) and if I only had a E-1 and a couple of lenses I would seriously think about it, but I probably woundn\'t get much for my stuff compaired to what I paid. Maybe once everything is sold, would you tell me how much you got for your stuff? I would be interested to know...

Also the fact the wife would probably go completely potty with me selling all my gear :laugh: \"so your selling all this for a single camera and two lenses?!?!\"

How much extra outlay do you think you are going to spend on top of what you are getting back from your E-1?

Well not quite 2 lenses. I should get £5k maybe £5500 for my gear. The other gear I need is another £3k max and that will give me:

Fishe prime, WA prime, macro lens, 300mm f4 plus the two zooms, flash & macro flash & 1.4 TC.

Compared to the newf2 zooms, 90-250 and E3 that is well less than half. Simple math really. I am doing more paid work since I was made redundant and I need more mp soon so NOW seems the right time. The announcement of the E500 and working with Tony on this site kinda focussed my mind.

Ian if you want to take better photos simply take better photos. I make a living with my E1 and I have ONE lens, 14-54. I borrow other lenses when I need to shoot. There are lenses from super-wide to super telephoto. I have thought about getting a 5D but since my clients don\'t give a damn about the camera and only results there would be no need for me to do it other then lust and the need to be $5000 poorer.

Hi!
Which affordable long telephoto lens did you choose? I was looking in Nikon and Canon lands and I didn't find anytihng to beat 50-200 (+1,4TC) or Sigma 50-500. I hope that Sigma will release 120-300/2,8 for 3/4 mount (I read some bad coments on fredmiranda, so maybe it isn't a holy grail).
