I\'ve never been satisfied with b&w converts before until I stumbled upon a simple method using RSE. I know many are unsatisfied with the color renditions of this program, but it\'s worth downloading it to give it a try.
Start with a raw image (obviously) and simply fade the \'saturation\' slider over to the extreme left. \'Color temperature\', \'tint\', as well as other sliders can be used to adjust your tones. I\'ve found that the (almost) previously useless \'Appearance\' box really works better with b&w images.
Try it out!
