When I got home today, I checked my community mailbox and there it was, a key to the large parcel compartment. I opened it up and my DELL E300 2 Lens Kit package was in there. I opened it up right away and got the battery charging. I love this camera! I can\'t wait to learn to use this camera fully. :woohoo:

The camera was not hit by customs so I was really lucky and got a great deal on this. My Lowepro Mini Trekker AW should arrive tomorrow and I will be picking up my order from B&H tomorrow too. I feel like a little kid on Christmas morning! :woohoo:

The perfect candidate for practice shots would be Ariel so here\'s a couple of pics.

Ariel Up Close (http://www.gunnerx.com/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=24024 &g2_serialNumber=1)

Sheepdog wanna be Shi-Tzu (http://www.gunnerx.com/photogallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=24030 &g2_serialNumber=1)

I definitely need the FL-36 for better flash pics.

 Hahaha, that\'s quite a funny pic there. I\'ve actually been quite a picture freak. I\'ve had 4 different film cameras in which one was a 35mm Canon Rebel EOS. Then I had the Sony F505v and the Canon SD300. Needless to say, I\'ve taken lots of pictures and everyone has become accustomed to me barraging them with pictures. I have my personal gallery with quite a few pictures here: http://www.gunnerx.com/photogallery/main.php

Congratulations on the early Christmas. You will enjoy the camera a lot. Five hours sure is a looong time for the battery to charge. I was about to go crazy. You can\'t even play with the camera since it won\'t focus (even manually) without power. My 2 lens kit came from Dell also. They had the ship date a month away and it came in 4 days. Enjoy the camera and lenses. :P
thanks

Congratulations!
You will love the camera, I am sure.

And if you can upload some pictures of the camera in the lowepro when you get it I will be very thankful!

Welcome to the \"club\" of Oly owners. Take some time getting used to the E-300 and you will find it is a wonderful camera.

Thanks all for the comments. The only painful thing I have to go through now is having to wait for the CF cards. :( The CFs are on backorder so I have to create a ghetto setup using a CF multireader and an SD card. I had to tape the detector too so the camera thinks the door is closed.

Watch that door carefully, as if it feels the door is open it will ruin the image it is writing and possibly all images on the card. You might look at getting a CF card if you are in or near a reasonable size city. Wal-Mart even carries them. Most of the major places (Best Buy, CompUSA, Office Depot, OfficeMax, etc) all have CF cards on sale almost all of the time now. Even if you have to get a smaller one (though I belive 512 MB is pretty cheap with rebates these days) you probably are better off than the \"fly by night\" arrangement.

Welcome to the \'E Club\'. Now you will have to take some pics and put them up here for us all to see and enjoy.

Cheers

I already have two 2GB Kingston Elite Pros on order through my friend with DELL. But it seems they\'re backordered right now. I was about to buy a 1GB Sandisk Extreme 3 but the price is more than the Kingston we got.

Wazza,

I already have several pictures I have in mind that I would like to take with the E300 and will definitely share it with everyone here. :)
