A friend asked if I\'d shoot his band recording a demo. First try at this.....

I really like the B&W of the band. It seems that bands would be fun to shoot because they are creative people and are not looking for \"the same old thing\" shot that many people want in standard portraiture.
What iso did you shoot at? Keep up the good work.
thanks

Thanks both of you.....

The flash shots....well all shots are E300 14-54 & 40-150. Flash was A mode Fl-36 auto everything else. I switched between ESP and Spot.

Handheld shots were all ISO 1600 f/3.5-5.6 1/60 ish

Lighting was constant as this was a recording session with no crowd. I was able to get on stage with them.

And yes they are all very different and very easy going people (no big ego goin on) most are heavily trained since childhood and this is just one project.

Ezra (drummer) besides being amazingly talented is a great friend.

All this stuff (over 250 shots) I think 12 are usable! was shot as promo/website use.

It was a blast.....I can\'t wait to shoot at a show and see how that dynamis is different. They are a pretty heavy driving band so my weak skills as a photographer just lends some grittiness to it all.

I will post a few more after I PP some. The samples I posted here were pretty quick.

Sorry for being long winded. I am still a little buzzed about it all. I thought I would fail miserably!

Thanks for the kind words

Charlie
