It seems as if several hours worth of posts disappeared a short time ago? Including the E-330 thoughts post I slaved oh so hard over..? *sob*

Yes, I noticed a thread I started (asking if people had used the Alzo/Samigon flash bracket) had disappeared. I figured maybe it was inappropriate somehow, but it may be just a server crash.....

I know the site is being migrated. The admins told Tony that nothing would get lost, but maybe something fell off the tree.

Oh, it's currently in the process of being migrated? Maybe it's a DNS hiccup or they screwed up and we're looking at the old site again instead of the new one? Hrm... *hopes*

I'd imagine at some point a snapshot is made and that snapshot is then used to recreate the new site on the new (physical) location. Everything between making the snapshot and implementing it can be lost.

That's true. I'm just hoping it's not that. :)

My posts were lost also, and my avatar. Hope it sticks this time.

as I too was concerned that a post of mine this morning "disappeared." I had assumed at first that it was pulled for some unknown reason, but I was informed by more than one person that it may have fell by the wayside during the migration period this morning.

Not to worry - I know you slaved over the posting - but these do occasionally happen. I know it's frustrating. Now for a nominal fee, I do type 110 words per minute and would help you tremendously

:(

I searched my browser cache for your post, but it's not there (the forum pages may not be cached at all). Fortunately mine was still in memory, and hitting the back button a bunch of time eventually got me there...

It's okay, I brought it back. And I can do 140wpm. ;)

I apologize for any losses from this morning. However, we had to have the server traded over. They were to let me know before they did this so I could stop the forum, however, they did not, so a few posts were loss.
See here:

good news the site should continue on fine from this point forward, bad news, we may have lost 20 minutes or so of posts.
I am sorry for any inconveniences that you suffered.
Thanks
Tony
