Thanks for the link. I have always wanted to try IR. I see, though, you loose a tonne of light on this and focusing may be too difficult. HHmmm, I think I may pass for now. The idea of the 30 f1.4 is looming large in my mind (although I would prefer a 24). Thanks

Jim,
If you still have the 58mm filter, I'd be interested. Send me details via e-mail or PM.
Thanks

How will the filters help? I have both the 14-54 & 50-200 for my E-1.

Thanks,

Ann

The "Infrared Look" is popular. With IR black and white film, the results have that glow to the foilage and the black skies and water with the stark white clouds. Using these filters on a digital slr will get you close to the same results. You will still need to desaturate and tweak the levels etc. to make them pop. Jim

Thanks, Jim. Do you happen to have any before & after pictures for comparison?

This is a poor example of what the lens can do.
The green trees look white and the clouds can look very dramatic.

Thanks, Chris. But if I don't know what it looked like without the filter I can't see the effects. What about for color?

Yes, I guess your right. All I can say is that the trees and my lawn are very green and lush without the IR filter. I didn't save any color images whilst trying to create these.
When the summer hits and the green is back I will get to play again.

Until then...
Chris

Jim - do you have any of these left to fit the 14 - 54 or possibly even more affordably the 50 f2?

Thanks,

Dan
