Arrgh! why can't I stay logged in?

How do I set my login time? is this a netscape problem or a setting I can't seem to find on the forum pages? I've tried to respond to several posts only to lose my response because I'm no longer logged in after five minutes. I'll be surprised if I'm still logged in long enough to send this....

Well, when you log in and check the box to have the web site remember you, it places a cookie on your computer. If your web browser or other firewall software is blocking that cookie, the web site will continually tell you that you are not logged in when you try to interact with it in the form of any type of posting. Sorry, I think the problem is somewhere in your computer software.

I have found that I get inexplicably logged out in a few minutes if I use the login panel at the bottom of the screen whereas I stay on forever if I log in at the top when first getting to the site. Strange I know but try to get on the site and log in on the top. Select for it to always log you on and let us know if the problem persists.

thanks for both inputs, I should have remembered the cookie thing. I work for the State of NC, and no site remembers us. Has to do with controlled surfing etc from the state's IT side of the house.

I tend to get logged out after about 5 minutes, so I'll keep it in mind and try my responses off forum for a while. I probably stay logged in at home 24/7.
