Last year we had a cat show up at the door step hungry. Of course my Wife and Daughter feed it, so it decided to stick around for a while. Well it ended up pregnant, and had 5 kittens then left. We haven't seen her since about 10 weeks after the litter was born. One of the kittens was given away and one ran off so we were stuck with three. One male and two females. Well the two Female cats that just had kittens....one had four (one died) and the other had four. Now we have seven kittens running around like mad and I'm going crazy trying to give them away. The are 5 or 6 weeks old right now and in a couple of weeks they have to go! I've got two already given away as soon as they are weaned. We are keeping one and the other FOUR are going to end up at the animal shelter if no one takes them. Anyone local to East Tennessee want some kittens? I'll take more pix tomorrow and post so you can see the selection!

We are keeping this one! My four year old names it "Butterball".

BTW....these shots were taken with the E-1 that I just bought off Bruce Snell along with my ZD 50-200mm hand held at 400iso with available light.

Awwww! Those are such cute pictures! What a beautiful little kitty. :D Her eyes are so pretty. I love the DOF on the second one - with her gray fur, it just "works" really well, bringing the focus to her sweet face.

I hope you can find them homes! Do you have any "animal rescue" organizations there? They usually advertise and hold adoption events at large pet stores like PetSmart or Petco. I think the kittens always get adopted really fast.

PS. I am in awe of you people who manage to handhold the e-1 and 50-200...what a combo!

Nice cats! I do appreciate the offer, but already have four of my own.

If you hang some of those photo's at your local news agent's you won't have enough kittens to please everyone.

More Puddy Cats....

I had to use flash on these because it was so dark and gloomy today. Storms are rolling in.

I'm think I will call Walmart and see if they will let me go down
there for about and hour or two one weekend to set up a table
with a box ,and a sign for "FREE KITTENS". I have
a feeling they will be gone in a matter of minutes. Hundreds of folks per hour go through those doors.

Ooooooh, so adorable! I love the blue eyes and blue fur. I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like best, but I think #1 and 3 are the cutest.

Congratulations on acquiring the 50-200. As you've already discovered, it's a great lens for capturing animals.
