This was our first animal we encountered on our way into Denali National Park. It was about 4pm in the afternoon. We didn't see moose again until after 9pm, which I will post next.

Cool shot! What a pretty moose! :D
A nice shot. I envy you the opportunity to pick your season and weather for your visits since you live so close to there.

Nice Moose. How do you like being able to shoot till 10PM ?? Seems strange, doesn't it.
Good moose shot and nice color blending. I like this.

Thanks English Bob. There is a window of time where you are allowed to drive past the Savage River to 31 mile (http://www.news-miner.com/Stories/0,1413,113%257E7244%257E3298522,00.html) on the Denali road. We jumped on the opportunity. These pictures were all taken at the end of April.
I was very tired last night and so didn't get a chance to finish posting some more pictures but I liked this one with the large bull and his developing antlers.

On the way back to civilization we ran into bands of cow moose on the side of the road. This one was laying down, enjoying herself.

This has got to be a great time of the year there, before the mosquitoes and flies wake up and go nuts !!

I like your Moose pictures Lara, but not the framing, it's too dark for my taste.
Your Moose pictures bring back good memories of our trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains my wife and I made, we had some very nice encounters with Moose. One time we saw a cow and her calf crossing (swimming) a river.
Thank you for sharing.

I agree. The moose shots are great, but I don't care for the particular vignetting effect.

Could you elaborate what you mean by vignetting effect?
