Last weekend I had a chance to give my new Olympus E-500 a workout as I went with my wife and some friends to Sevierville, TN. Most of these shots are just touristy, with some in and around cabin we stayed in, the Smoky Mountains, and Pigeon Forge. The shots in the Comedy Barn were shot with my Minolta F-300 at max ISO (400), a few with flash and most without.
Most images have had a touch of shadow/highlight adjustment and the F-300 images had a workover with Neatimage before being reduced in size.
I do find the E-500 to be a fine machine to handle; I like the balance and the way the body feels in my hands. I must admit I also like the fact that it is an SLR; compared to my K-M A2 I find I like the optical viewfinder better than the EVF. I do miss the image stabilization of the A2, and the lightness of the A2.

I think these are my two favorite images (both at the Old Mill Restaurant area):

The heron (?) was there the whole time we were there; you can even spot him in the far right near the falls in the first picture.
