Saw a Grand Canyon post from you from 2004 on the MyFourThirds website last night. Very interesting (for me, at least) to compare those (E-1) shots with these most recent ones. The older shots seem darker or maybe cooler (WB?), but that may be attributable to the different season. Anyway, this series is great, as usual and serves as benchmark for landscapes with Oly equipment.

Amazing, as usual. I take it your happy with the 330. Do you think you will ever use the E1 again?

That bit of green in the foreground makes a big difference.

Thank you. The Grand Canyon is a difficult subject for me and I keep going back trying different variations of seasons/weather/time of day and, of course, different shooting settings.

I find the E-330 WB to be quite good outdoors, but not as good as the E-1, no doubt because of the E-1's external WB sensor. I suspect that the major difference in the images though is that I began to use a tighter levels adjustment sometime in 2005.

I'd almost forgotten about MyFourThirds. Haven't posted there in a long time. I have posted some in the Fred Miranda forums a few months back though.

Thank you. Yes, I'm quite happy with the performance of the E-330, though not quite with the ergonomics. Even the higher ISO performance is quite good. Did you happen to see the image of the moose I posted a week or so ago? I think that was ISO 800 and I didn't use any noise remover. You can see very faint chroma noise in it when looking at it at 100% but it's not objectionable.

The E-1 is just as good a camera as it always was. I'm concentrating on the E-330 now until I know it inside out and, meanwhile, the E-1 is temporarily my bad weather camera.

A lot of my landscapes, even the distant horizon types, usually have some type of foreground scenery, usually well illuminated and in focus, in an attempt to impart a greater sense of depth to the image. I notice that quite a few people don't care for that and suggest that I crop the foreground out, but it's my style; what can I say?

EB, great image as always. I am with you on the foreground objects camp. I really enjoy images more when there's a sense of depth portrayed.

Thank you. The last of the Morning shots is coming up.
