about EB's instructions on using the fl flashes that had pictures and stuff added to EBs' information. I was going to print it up,when it disappeared. At least ,I think that it was lkeeney that added to it.

I can't see anything with pictures in it, but EB's thread on flash setup is here:

I hope this helps.

Hi Kanji,

As I recall, it wasn't a thread but was in the articles section. Just checked and it does not appear to be there now. I did save it as a word file and could email it to you if you wish. Yes it was done by Lawrence Keeney and does have pictures. Of course, I am sure that you could also get it from Lawrence Keeney.

Yes, I did write the article, but unfortunately I did not keep a copy of it on my computer.

Maybe Tony removed it because it was out-of-date, and replaced by EB's more recent text articles on the Technical forum.

The text content of my article was taken from EB's earlier postings on dpreview, with his permission by the way. All I did was to generate some images, similar to the ones in the E1 instruction manual, and integrate them into the instructions.

The reason I wrote the article was because I found it a little difficult to read the EB's description, and then look up the corresponding physical setting devices on the camera in the manual. I thought it would be easier if all the information was in one place.

The most helpful thing in the article (in my opinion) was the 4"x6" printable card I designed that gave you all the settings for different shooting conditions. I printed this out and I still carry it in my camera bag.

I know EB has more recent instructions, but the original ones have always worked well for me, and I just haven't taken the time to digest his latest information.

I saved a copy of Lawrence's version of English Bob's flash guidelines, "Set-up and operation of the Olympus FL-50 flash", with all the figures Lawrence put together. I can repost it in this thread or a new thread, if folks want.

I tried posting Lawrence's great version of EB's FL-50 guide by copying and pasting into a new message, but Preview Post shows nothing but unformatted text. Does anyone know how to post an HTML document here?

No HTML allowed it bogs down the server, sorry :(
Also it appears when I updated the site, I forgot to republish the article.
It should be up and running now.

Link to article (http://www.fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/../index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=31&Itemid=26) for the search impaired, like me. :D

Thanks for reposting this!
