July Contest - "Shooting in the Dark"

I'm sorry this is late. Unless we do a two-day poll, I thought I'd make it easy by using the theme that had the most votes out of all of them from the past 4 months ("Night Photography").

It doesn't have to actually be nighttime when you take the shot.
Let's include that to mean it can be shot in dark surroundings, so we'll name it "Shooting in the Dark".

EDIT:
Anyplace where there is little or not light. You can use whatever light is available in the surroundings or create your own. Outside during or after sundown, in a darkened room, in a rabbit hole:ohmy: , whatever.

One might ask, "no flash?". Well, that decision would also be left to you. Because, you can have total darkness and be shooting a night owl swooping down to catch his prey. Oviously you'd need some type of flash to catch him in action.

:hmm:This is a good opportunity to be creative:smile:

At the end of the month all the submissions will be posted in one new thread for all to vote on.

It's really too bad only shots taken in the month are allowed, because I love night photography and have some really cool shots that I cannot recreate this time of the year (lack of snow and christmas lights).

I may just take a stroll through downtown and re-shoot some of my favourites to see if I can improve on them and post them here...

That is a very beautiful scene. I had in mind either night time (after sundown) or in a darkened environment (room, cave, whatever).

But we'll leave the discrection up to you and let the voters decide in the end which represents the topic most/best, etc.

LOL, I figured that could have been after sundown. I was just clarifying what my initial thoughts were. Some people might think it meant total darkness, so the consensus was to leave the discretion to the community at large.:smile:

Hmmm... I haven't figured this out yet. Are we supposed to submit contest photos in this specific thread (July Contest - "Shooting in the Dark"), or in the more general Monthly Contests thread? I just did the latter, but can delete and repost here if needed.
