I've just added a few more photos from today, where I used the 90-250mm. I have no real idea what these look like on a decent monitor, as my main system is still being repaired. I may have to look at something completely new, but not until Acer concedes they can't fix my current one.
There's a mixed bag here, but the new ones are in the third row:

You mean the ones with the b+w horizontal striped shirts?
They look very good on my screen, laptop calibrated on sight, some have a 3D quality (and some are tilted??).

Thanks Henk!
Yep! They're the ones. Cool!, My Fujitsu gives me no confidence whatsoever, especially since I can't display full size. The angle may be askew somewhat, but I'm not overly concerned about that. My main concern is that they don't look absolutely ghastly as far as colour and contrast goes. I can't display the main results, as they may/may not be published. These are the gash shots that weren't sent in.

No need to worry!
On my monitor they look great.
Great action, DOF and OOF. Nothing wrong with the colors here.

Thanks all. My biggest worry has been converting RAW photos for the paper and not being quite sure whether the results have been reasonable. I haven't had any complaints, but then they get a mixed bag from Canon and Nikon (I've seen some horrors printed). If you all think that the colour, focus etc is reasonable, then my temporary notebook is doing OK.

They look fine on my monitor, Ray (an NEC laptop, but I think it's pretty good).
Those are pretty nice for throwaways! I wish my action keepers were as good, but that's why you get paid and I don't. Out of the images in the third row, I like the one on the far left best. Although it's not the sharpest of the group, the expressions are great.

Very nice, Ray. My monitor is also calibrated & colors seem accurate. Great captures, especially for the "rejects." My folks lived down under during the 1970s and really grew to enjoy the football there. Thanks for the memories.

Thank for all the feedback.
I was only today able to look at them with a bigger monitor and can now see that a few aren't quite sharp. I wonder what Focus Magic could do with these shots? If Olympus does nothing else to their system, an improvement in AF speed would be the one I want.
Cheers
