Just running the last two days stuff up the flagpole...
The two moom shots are quite genuine, no trickery.

Four nice examples showing how images should be composed.

.....great photos, great colour...love that orange orange!!
Same here. Great colors with the orange. I think I would have prefered the first shot without the moon next to the bell, though. I like the solid blue in the background.

Really? Hope you're in a minority, I had to run a mile and back to get a tripod to get that moon shot! Glad you like the rest :-)

But this is shot of a bell tower with the moon seen through it. You might as well say that you'd prefer the shot without the bell tower. Or without either the bell tower or the moon. Perhaps just blue sky. I do wish people would criticise the shot they have been offered and not imagine a different shot which the would have preferred: it's about as helpful as saying "Nice shot".

Oof. I would assume she thinks the moon is a PP edition. And the trouble is, these days, it could easily have been. It isn't of course - that would be pointless...

Well, you do make it quite clear that there was no trickery! I would agree that the shot would have worked even better if the moon were a bit smaller so it fitted in the frame better. Or if the moon had been underneath the bell. But the point is that you saw the shot, made the effort to fetch your tripod and got an intriguing photo.
I think perhaps the other images are stronger. The splash is very dynamic, but I wonder if a landscape format shot might have suggested the horizonal power of the sea that produced the splash. The orange and the moon+aircraft are both excellent photos: the colours of the orange shot are perfect and mouthwatering. The moon + aircraft shot is one that we all must have seen in real life a dozen times, but consistently failed to capture! Well done.

Very nice Louis, I like them all quite a bit. The moon shots are by far my favorites though

Nice shots:-)
I like the moon & plane best but would have cropped some more from the bottom.
The moon does look a little cramped in the tower, but there you go, it's still a good shot.
Cannot crit the orange shot, it just jumps out at you.
Splash is OK.
Dave.

I have been looking at the photo of the belltower several times and I like it as it is Louis. The photo of the moon and plane looks very much like one used in an ad in a magazine here.
Thanks for sharing.
