The Surroundings of Parris Island

This is the typical view around the perimeter of Parris Island: marsh grass in mud flats. At this point in time the tide was out and the exposed mud is not appealing to the olfactory senses. In the distance to the left is St. Helena Island; to the right is some more of Parris Island. Straight ahead would be Port Royal Sound which leads past Hilton Head and into the Atlantic. The photo is not very good quality. I was rushed and the camera operator left some to be desired. E330, 14-45 + EC14 Teleconverter.
