Greetings,
I was on my way back home and had everything packed up already when I turned around because the light changed rapidly, hence I had to shoot handheld, within a few moments I was soaked to the bone.

Wow, that's a very impressive image! Is the storm soaking up water from the lake? Looks like it. :action-smiley-020:

Hi Mick,
that's the Atlantic, I am @ the NW Atlantic Coast in Ireland. Due to the proximity of the atlantic conveyor the weather can change here dramatically and very fast.
Impressive, dramatic, scary, beautiful colours and light, lots of reasons to get wet.
Thanks for taking the time and having the courage to stay and shoot.

Brilliant pic! If you corrected the slightly of skew horrizon (if not a optical illusion) it would be absolutley perfect.

Hi Luc,
thanks, I like it too, I only wish it would be a keeper, but it is not good enough for a serious print unfortunately. Does the job for a web pic, but would not pass my standards for print.

Hi Paul,
Thanks. I am not that skilled in post processing, yet. It was a handheld exposure bracketing at 1/30 sec and I tried to get the "feeling across by subtly using HDR techniques, still it is far from what I want, see the white water spot in the middle for example, and yes, the horizon is somewhat weired as well, as I said, not a keeper unfortunately. The IS in the upcoming Olympus should proove useful in deed.

Well, a touch of cropping (taking out part of the bottom), and cloning of that water spot and so on would make it a keeper in my book. That's a glorious image. Anyway, photography should be past the point of trying to imitate art, right? This has reality stamped on it. Nice job.
