I hope you got my twisted meaning out of the above comment. If not, read the picture left to right, thread, nut, washer, wood. :) Yeah , I 'm a smart A** sometimes
This is reminiscent of one of Godfrey's posts a while back.
Simple, abstract, and well executed all in one spot.

Jim,
I certainly did get your humor. No worries from me.
Frankly, Godfrey's posts have been quite inspirational for me.

Thanks Dave.
It's a relatively new venue for my style and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Bill, it is interesting that the end of the bolt is not rusted, cool macro . Cheers Pete

Bill, I like it. Macro can certainly change one's perspective, or add to one's perspective, of what is a candidate for photographic subject matter. Good eye, and good shot.

Well, you've done it, Bill. Brought photography back down to the 'nuts and bolts' level!:D That salt air sure raises heck with the hardware, doesn't it? Nice shot.

Pete,
Thanks. It's actually painted white for some reason.

I love this shot. It's a type of photography I've done quite a lot of myself, so I ought to. ;)
Usually I have a strict dogma regarding this type of photography, which is 'more DOF', but in this case, I think it works very well. It's crispy sharp where it needs to, and the shallow DOF works well in this case.
I like the crop you've used a lot, and over all the only thing that slightly irritates me is the bright area in the front of the screw.
Great shot. :)
