I really like it, it shows how something ordinary can be made to look super interesting with a little thought and skill, well done.

Godfrey, So this is what the Pentax M50/1.4 will do! I've been looking on the bay for different 1.4 lenses, but rarely get to see what the output is with 4/3 gear, especially with a teleconverter. I like the lighting and the captured shadow of the chain makes the picture for me.

Thanks everyone!
About the lens:
The Pentax-M 50mm f/1.4 is a little lacking in crispness wide open but cleans up beautifully between f/2 and f/2.8, peaks at around f/4 and holds that performance through f/11. A very good lens, however, on out of focus qualities and very sharp at its best. (Later series were revised and provide better wide open sharpness and contrast; this one is quite old, the M series were made from '77 to '84.)
It's almost certainly not as good a performer as the Olympus ZD 50/2 Macro but then again I picked it up for around $30. I particularly like what it does coupled to the Olympus EC14 ... a 70mm lens is a very nice focal length on FourThirds.

Great juxtaposition of two very dissimilar elemental objects, iron and wood, both modified by the hand of man to suit his purposes.

It was most kind of someone to place the chain so artfully on the weathered wood, in anticipation of your photographic eye, Godfrey. I love this kind of simple arrangement of contrasting textures and forms. You remind me to experiment with B&W, too.
