View Full Version : Streets/Urban Hail Mary shot

I was riding the escalator down at Newport Aquarium, near Cincinnatti. Had the E3 with 7-14 mounted. It was dark, exposure of around 1 second, but I thought, what the heck, let's hit the shutter and see what we get. I kinda like it, with the semi-focused bit in the middle, and everything being drawn in.
Right in front of me is my wife Mary, another reason I call this a Hail Mary shot...

I love it. Did you have the IS on? I get some amazing images with long shutter speeds, moving with the IS on.

Yes, I did. A lot of getting something new and different is just thinking to whip the camera up and hit the shutter.

Great shot John. Sometimes you just click the shutter and it all comes together nicely.
Did you get any other shots at the aquarium? Please share.
