It does require practice to use (as with all long lenses), but once you've learned how, it is capable of quite good results. Due to its size and weight, it is definitely a tripod-only lens. I was very happy with this lens when I bought it, but recently bought a Bigma so I don't need it anymore. It is the latest version that easily allows you to set an aperture, focal-length, and adjustments for front/back focusing errors. Programming it is actually quite easy, but it may take a few tries to learn how it is done. I will be providing instructions and will be available (if needed) to help teach how to set it. The adapter is well made and sits firmly on the lens and body. Combined price for both the Vivitar 120-600mm lens and AF-confirm adapter: $230 plus shipping and PayPal fees ($10 off). |
