Longshot for E500 Repair

I really hope that some one out there can help me out. It is probably best that I make a long story shot. I am searching for the service manual for the Evolt E500 and was hoping that someone out there has access to it. Specifically I am trying to find out what a specific component on the main circuit board is and its values. I am hoping the service manual would have some information that could help otherwise I am stuck, to say the least. Needless to say this is a difficult piece of information to track down and I would be grateful for any help with getting this information or being pointed in a direction that might have the info I seek. You might try emailing Olympus support. Worth a shot.... I've never seen a repair manual, sorry.

already tried with Olympus. their lips are sealed.

If you know how to take the E-500 apart and fix a circuit board, why not buy another E-500 for cheap and salvage the circuit board? You could find a deal on an otherwise beat up E-500 and fix yours and still have parts to spare.
I admire your ability, but there are cheaper easier ways to do this.
And Olympus isn't likely to give away the info in those manuals.

Good point. I am looking into that too, however, I have already bought parts to fix what was wrong before the accident that caused my need to find out about the particular component in question.

Thus I am thinking I don't want to put more money into an older camera and just want to fix what I have. Finding a junker and getting it shipped at a reasonable price for this old of a model is not that easy either.

Even still I do not know if getting the correct part will fix it, i.e. something else could be wrong so I am just trying to get the info to get this one part.
