E-30 50-200 plus EC-14 or EC-20 - not much crop....click for full sized.














We spent a good 45 minutes of uninterrupted shooting with time to think about the shot, compose and get good focus etc...

It was a wonderful opportunity....

One thing I did notice however, after looking through the viewfinder, when bringing the camera down from my eye, my vision was slightly blurred, or out of focus you might say, but immediately corrected itself. Now I've figured that, when looking through an optical viewfinder, you're literally looking through the camera at an object far away (both eyes may even be focused on the same subject if you shoot with both eyes open), however when looking at the electronic viewfinder, your eye is focused on a screen less than an inch from your eye. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, I have 20/15 vision, and it's not something I've experienced with the optical viewfinder.

Another thought... I know it's always been stated not to view a television screen too closely, or computer monitor, etc, as it could cause damage to the eyes. We're now however, placing the electronic viewfinder right in front of our eyes. Are there no longterm ramifications of this? Sadly, both of those are only available when I create and format a new thread.

The default (this size = size 1) is much too small for my aging eyes.

Yeah, I know I can expand it on my screen, but that means I must hit the "larger" key-combo every time I open a new post. And that's a real pain.

Can't we at least go back to the font size used on the old forum layout? Would be nice if it were a smidgin bigger than that, but at least that size I could live with.
