I'm trying to get a handle on bang for the buck and, without instigating a battle royal, the merits of each service.

So I had the opportunity to check out the E-M5 the other day, and it does not disappoint. One thing I did notice however, after looking through the viewfinder, when bringing the camera down from my eye, my vision was slightly blurred, or out of focus you might say, but immediately corrected itself. Now I've figured that, when looking through an optical viewfinder, you're literally looking through the camera at an object far away (both eyes may even be focused on the same subject if you shoot with both eyes open), however when looking at the electronic viewfinder, your eye is focused on a screen less than an inch from your eye. Correct me if I'm wrong on this, I have 20/15 vision, and it's not something I've experienced with the optical viewfinder.

Another thought... I know it's always been stated not to view a television screen too closely, or computer monitor, etc, as it could cause damage to the eyes. We're now however, placing the electronic viewfinder right in front of our eyes. Are there no longterm ramifications of this? What's the difference, or does the size of monitor make the difference?

I've tried to like this new layout, but it's really getting to me. A BIG part of the problem is the size of the typeface... it's waaaayyyyy too tiny. :(

This is the font size I get by default.

This is a size I would prefer to see (size 5).

This is a size I could live with (size 4).

Sadly, both of those are only available when I create and format a new thread.

The default (this size = size 1) is much too small for my aging eyes.

Yeah, I know I can expand it on my screen, but that means I must hit the "larger" key-combo every time I open a new post. And that's a real pain.

Can't we at least go back to the font size used on the old forum layout? Would be nice if it were a smidgin bigger than that, but at least that size I could live with. This new font size is much to small and I'm tired of squinting to read it.

While most are out getting some great shots of wildlife ,nature, and landscapes I was damned to capture some images of work.Actually, did some product shots of boxes we make for our companies website and brochure. But decided to get some pics of the charm and elegance of parts of our building and my favorite machine.A 1953 Miehle two color printing press, I have the pleasure of wrenching on this beast on a biweekly basis. It will be retired soon, and I hope I am still around when they drop this thing into the bottom of lake Erie.I figured since its an old machine, I would use an old camera E-1 to get the shots.
