Nice one Ken... they are cool birds.. always in my yard eating ants.. had to cut down a big 90 foot locus tree a couple weeks ago.. they loved that tree because it was loaded with ants, but it had storm damage and was angled to fall towards the deck.. cant see its colors is it a yellow shafted or do you have red shafted out there?

Jim, We have the red-shafted variety over here. I guess they and the yellow-shafted interbreed in the middle of the country, or so I read.
