Re: Olympus E-P1 Preview
I don't know if a EVF would work, but if it was a Optical one, you couldn't tell Focus, but you could at least get a optical viewfinder to correctly zoom, since we have TTL I would assume. As a Flash automatically zooms so could the viewfinder accessory.

That would be an expensive, as well as large, optical finder. ;-) Cool idea however.

Definitely not, unless camera body and viewfinder were designed for each other.
You could have this home-made EVF mounted "cold shoe" just sitting in the shoe, with no electrical contact. A video cable would connect it to the camera's video out port (assuming standard composite signal via multi-output). A separate power supply (batteries) would be needed to power a home-made EVF)

Re: Olympus E-P1 Preview
Has anybody tested the E-P1 for bulb shots? Its slowest shutter speed is 30 minutes, right? I would be interested in how the image looks at 8, 12, 15, 20 and 30 minutes, NR on, with the lens cap closed. The E-3 is horrible beyond 8 minutes. Does the E-P1 also limit NR to 8 minutes even if the exposure is longer than that, like the E-3? Thanks.

Would not surprise me at all. I would rather have an add-on EVF than a larger camera like the G1/GH1 (which I personally think are pretty ugly and look too much like a DSLR).

5 contacts? I only counted 3, or 4 if you also count the big one in the middle.

3 pins (TTL), the middle pin and the outer rails (for sync) = 5. Take a close look at the edge of your flash, you'll find an additional contact on the side that touches the side rail(s).
