In our poll in which 7 people voted, they gave this lens an average of a 3.14 out of 5.
This is another budget lens from Sigma, it has a incredible reach for one lens. If a person only wanted to carry 1 lens, this may be a good choice. (Although Olympus has announced a similar lens, but not as wide, and more reach) It is inexpensive, and compact. (I, Tony have no experience with this lens).

Pros: Excellent focal range, perfect for a "walk-around" lens. Very sharp at all focal lengths. Great color and contrast. Very nice bokeh. Solid construction.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Price Paid: Came with E-300 body on eBay ($400 shipped)

Other: The Sigma 18-125mm is a really great little lens. It's image quality is far better than Oly's own 14-45 and 40-150mm kit lenses, and nearly covers the entire range of those two lenses combined. It's a meaty lens that has just the right amount of weight to it to balance well with the body.

I am really impressed, shocked even, at how great this lens is. I'm willing to say that it seems every bit as sharp and crisp as the Oly 11-22mm lens (which I also have) and easily betters both kit lenses as mentioned above.

Not trying to go on a rant here, but this truely is a very nice lens. I'd say if you're looking for an all-purpose lens that gives great results, can't afford the higher priced Oly lenses, and settle on the kit lenses just because you think you have to spend big bucks to get any kind of improvement over the kit lenses, don't skip over this lens because it's an affordable Sigma lens.

Sometimes, great things come in small, inexpensive packages, and this is one of those times.

Pros: Great performance, great picutres, great focal length.

Cons: None that I can think of, other than I wish it was like F1.0 like all my lenses.

I love sigma lenses. even my cheapo 55-200mm had pleasing bokeh. this one is no different.
