Olympus Fl-36 Flash

A smaller version of the FL-50. It has a moveable head, and it is very accurate.
Uses all AA batteries, and CR-V3.

Pros: Small, light, well-matched to the E-1, darned-near perfect exposures with English Bob's flash tips. It was in-stock at my local dealer!
Cons: Slow recharge time, will eventually replace it with the FL-50 for it's faster recharge times
price paid: $199 + tax

Pro's : Plug and Play, TTL exposure worked great.
Con's : Battery Life, recharge time - I used alkaline batteries and had to change the batteries once during about 200 pictures. Sometimes the flash didn't fire because I was taking pictures to quickly.
Price paid : $199.99 available at local Ritz camera store
Other Info : I was going on a trip to Saudi Arabia and the day before I left was asked to survey damage to a Loran station that had been broken into. Having worked there before I knew that no electricity meant pitch black conditions so I had to have something a little stronger than than the on camera flash.

Equipment used - E500 with the 14-45mm kit lens. Everything set to Auto

I have not had enough time to test as fill in flash outside.

I would recommend this flash to anybody that needs a flash for general purpose and the on camera isn't strong enough.
