I have a friend who has a near mint (<6 mo) old E1 and 11-22. He's thinking of package selling the pair. What would be a fair price, opinions appreciated. I've looked at eBay and new E1's are around $500 and it seems used 11-22 go for around $600. Would anyone here buy the set for $1100? How much should the used E1 be discounted, another $100 to package price of $1000?

Assume his 11-22 looks and performs as well as the recent 11-22 posted here in portrait orientation.

He'd like to move them quickly so what price (within reason) would be a sold in an hour in your opinion?

Thanks,

Dan

Well, I got a great deal on an used E-1 (only used in one wedding) for $320, a barely used 11-22 for $500. Now I am not saying that your friend should sell at that price, but the price sure got me fired up and bought them.

The E-1's are now going up in price on Ebay. I think that the remaining stock is almost gone (not too many listed under Cameta now). So, I think getting $400 to $500 for the E-1 is a good possibility.

wow, you made out like a bandit.

I would probably pay about 900~ for the combo. then again, i am a hound for good deals. so my opinion on price might be on the lower side.

I know I did! I had to do some side jobs to pay for them.

Thanks guys - I'm thinking like de's sale $550 for the 11 - 22 seems fair to both sellar and buyer (maybe a little on the good side for buyer?) and 350 to 400 for a near mint E1.

Is there anyone here who would jump on an E1 for $400?

Dan, if you are serious about selling the E-1 between $350 and $400, I may have a buyer for you. Let me get back to you.

de2000 - I'm checking with the person now if he wants to sell. He's kind of struggling with the drop in value from his purchase price from B&H just this Christmas to now. Weren't the E1's on sale at Christmas time or slightly before for like $800?

Anyway, I'm hoping this gets straightened out quickly...Dan

I think I might be able to find a home for the 11-22 around that price if he decides to sell.

PM or email me.

I'm interested in the e-1. If the package price is nice i'd consider the 11-22 as well.
