Instead of just doing a membership drive, I have decided to do a raffle for the ballhead, leveling base, and 4 GB White Ipod Nano to help raise the funds for the site.
So here is how you can help with this:
#1 Purchase one or more raffle tickets.* They are on sale for $6 each or if you order 7 or more, they are $5 each.
#2 You can promote this great give-away throughout the web to all your friends who are enthusiastic about photography. This is to help promote the site, and help us reach the new height of 2000 registered users on the forum.
Note: current site supporters will receive 7 tickets in the drawing, because we care about them.
But hurry this give away will be over on September 15th.

Donate between $6-34 and you will recieve 1 ticket for every $6.
Donate $35 or more and you will revieve 1 ticket for every $5.

Donate on the Left at the "Make a Donation" Button.
(It takes you to paypal)
Also if you would like to send a check,
Send to:
Tony Spore
1005 Foothill Dr
Fillmore, CA 93015

Make payable to either Tony Spore, or Allplaces Photography....
I don't have a regular checking account for this site.

IF you have any questions, please post here.

Is Paypal really having a problem or is the link not working right. It has been giving me the same message from the first time I received the email.

It's happening to me too. I have this thousand dollars burning a hole in my Pay Pal account. Oh well, there is always another site to donate to.

Tony, I know it's not your fault.

Thanks, Jim

I think its the forum software. I will fix this tonight. I have a dinner date.
Sorry guys. It also looks like the mass e-mail got screwed up too.
It worked when I sent it to myself as a test....
I was trying to be all fancy, and it got me no where.

It will appear on the left column, I think it will work in that place.
However I also made a forum announcement, and that works fine.
Such as here. (http://www.fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/announcement.php?f=12)

It should work now. I have to manually add people into the supporter category, because of how paypal donation is set up.
But it should work. Everyone who has paid $35 or more up to this point, should be accounted for now.

just wondering, are you mailing the tickets, I went in for $40 on the 5th :)

I am trying to figure out a way to do it paperless. So then I could just e-mail them, but I haven't figure out how to do that yet. (also it would be a lot of stamps, and trying to mail paper tickets over seas would take a while.)
It will save a lot of stamps, and then I would also have a good way to check who won if they didn't claim the prize.
But if that doesn't work, I will figure out some way to do it.

That's fine :) heck just write our names on paper, throw them in a hat!

You could set up an Excel spread sheet with all the ticket numbers in one column, put a name by each ticket number and then use this little free add-in for Excel to pick the winner. It generates a random number between any 2 numbers.

Just sent you some money to support the site and for the drawing. However, during my Paypal paying process, there was no place to put comments down. So I PM'ed you about my username and my real name which is associated with the Paypal account. Just making sure that you don't give my tickets to someone else.;)

So do I change my own "Custom User Title" to "Supporter", or you can change it in the forum software?

Got it.
I have updated all donators (nice word I know) so that you can go into your profile and show off the green logo if you like:
http://fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/profile.php?do=editusergroups

Also I have about 900 tickets ready to go.
I have attached a list of all that I have, if anyone has any issues please let me know. (PM or e-mail please)

It was that all the current supporters the first 2/3 were automatically entered with 7 tickets a piece.
The other 1/3 bought tickets.
