View Full Version : September Photo Contest - Dramatic Portrait Lighting

09-02-2006, 12:58 AM
Greetings! I just returned from a 3 day trip to Virginia City, NV and had no internet access.

September's theme will be "Dramatic Portrait Lighting" (people only). It doesn't have to be done in a studio, as not everyone has access to one.

(added) Here are some helpful hints:

This is your chance to be creative! If you wish, you can post your photo(s) in the critique forum before entering your ONE final photo into the contest.

The contest will run from the first of the month to the last day.
Please post your final submissions in the September's "post final contest entries here" thread (after it's been posted).

A poll will be posted after the end of the month and the community at large will vote on all submissions. The one with the most votes at the end of the poll will win.

The submitted photo(s) must be taken during the month of the contest with any 4/3 system camera. Please make sure (basic) exif data is included in or with the photo.

If you have any questions, send me a PM.

The contest winner will receive a new flash drive (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.asp?Image=20%2D211%2D204%2D10%2Ejpg%2C20 %2D211%2D204%2D03%2EJPG%2C20%2D211%2D204%2D09%2Ejp g%2C20%2D211%2D204%2D06%2EJPG&CurImage=20%2D211%2D204%2D10%2Ejpg&Description=A%2DDATA+512MB+Flash+Drive+%28USB2%2E0 +Portable%29+Model+RB51201N10B+%2D+Retail).

So everyone can also prepare for next month's contest, the theme for October will be along the lines of something scenic, "outdoor landscape".

There we go... just in time for colourful autumn leaves! I think I'll lay low until then, I'm not much of aStudio guy for the September contest...

I'm not much of a studio person, either (but would like to be). We're trying to keep a variety of themes going so everyone can participate.
