Ok, here goes!!!

Had a few glasses of wine and decided to try a few things with my new remote control. Only had E500 3 month and it is my first proper camera, and this is my first ever entry into a competition and my first ever self portrait!!!!

Lighting was very bright torch!

I will simply call it "dramatically lit self portrait!"

I don't know his name or age, but he lives in my garden.
Or is it a she?

Or is it a she?
 Definately a "he". But he doesn't count because this is for "people" (in human form) this month.

Exposuer: 0.3 secs at 5.6.

Clark666: Well, the contest is about dramatic portrait lighting, which would mean some form of interesting lighting on the human subject, not a background.

Roy: I will delete your other post now that you have it in here. Thanks.

Interesting shots, everyone!

This is my September entry of a woman at the Native American day festival i attended last night. I noticed how the light was reflecting off her, then took this image. I used the 50-200mm at f2.8; 1/250; iso 400; 200mm.

hi everyone, i've just come across this site and i'm really glad i did. looks like a great 4/3 resource and just what ive been looking for. not too sure about how to submit my entry but here goes...taken with my e500 (17.5-45). (Not sure what the rules are on photoshopping but this is actually 2 images of my daughter layered together, although the photo's themselves have not been altered/edited in anyway. if this is against the rules let me know and I'll repost another..)

Thanks :D

Welcome! Thank you for entering the contest. As long as the photo was taken within the month of September. It shouldn't matter what kind of post prossessing you did as long as you get the dramatic portrait results.

Also, if you'd like to introduce yourself in the "About Me" forum:
http://fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=6

this allows others to get to know you better.
