Can anyone comment on this lens?
I'm thinking about getting the E510 and don' know if I should keep the 14-45 or go with this kit lens.

The short time I had it before I sold it (I have the 14-54), it was a very lightweight and fast focus lens. I took several snaps with it and was happy with the results. Definately faster focus than the 14-45 which I had for awhile too. I just did not need an extra lens so I got rid of it, but I would recommend it if you don't have the 14-54.

I own the 14-45 f/3.5-5.6 and I enjoy it for the type of photos I take, but I'm looking at a faster standard zoom replacement. Sigma's 18-50 f/2.8, 14-35 f/2.0 (when it's released), and the previously mentioned 14-54 f/2.8-3.5 are candidates. For me it makes more sense to move on towards a brighter lens.

Happy shopping and shooting,
JW

I will always have the 3 standard lenses in my kit. the 14-45, 40-150, and 70-300. the ulitmate lightweight kit there. I will be going to some brighter lenses as well, namely the 30 1.4, 70-200 2.8, and 18-50 2.8. the 30 and 18-50mm will mainly be my wedding lenses, and the 70-200 will used in the stadium for shooting hockey photos.

The 14-45 takes great photos tho
