Hey Guys,
I have put together the votes from last months contest.

Here are the top 4
First place: #34 assafx "Under the Sunshade"
http://43photo.smugmug.com/photos/167968155-M.jpg
- The bright colours and patterns and the
model's face, along with the strong reportage composition marked this one as
the pick of the litter by a long chalk. John Wester
(I think it should be cropped a bit different though) - Marco
A colorful candid portrait, nice composition. Henk Peter

Second Place: #1 -

Dun Skipper on Coneflower (Mister Mike) I like the colouration – clash of green/pink/orange, and the simple elements. Also the ability to capture the insect in this position (twice!). I might have liked a bit more dof. Mark Caton
mistermike: second entry of Dun Skipper on a Cone flower
A well executed close-up, nice composition and colors. Henk Peter

Third Place: #8- Telephone by StuMac1985 .
http://43photo.smugmug.com/photos/165769575-M.jpg
Clean and simple. There will be plenty of room for flowers and macros- Bill
I like the whimsical placement of a call box in the middle of nowhere (it's not a Tardis, is it?). Again, the thumbnail is stronger than the full size and I like the very off center element. John

fourth Place: #26 Spider - Gilles
http://43photo.smugmug.com/photos/166475954-M.jpg
Almost human expression, and nice and sharp at the point the photographer wants you to look – the face. Comical. Might have been a bit more adventurous with positioning in the frame, rather than dead centre. Mark Caton
I like how you can see the eyes of the spider. It has lots of character - Katie

Other Honorable meantions In no particular order:

The only qualifying B/W conversion and a very nice one too. Henk Peter (1 point)
Marco

#14 smogu "Sunset" -
http://43photo.smugmug.com/photos/165814128-M.jpg
This image actually worked better as a thumbnail than a fullsize. The flash of the sun just as it slipped behind the hill and the gentle gradation of color made it for me. (That and it reminded me of many a sunset on Wollaston Lake in Northern Saskatchewan where I spent a summer
prospecting for uranium when I was a student) John Wester

#18- toplake. Again, clean and simple Bill Turner

#19 Luke
http://43photo.smugmug.com/photos/165813958-M.jpg
The Japanese look is creative. I love the amount of things that are in focus in this picture. - Katie

#22 - changeling

Complex -Bill

#25 -

#33 Lemur (pjphoto59)

Very sharp/accurate focusing. Nice capture of the alert facial expression. Almost fills the frame – just enough room for the animal to look into some space. I don’t care if this was in a zoo, still a nice capture. Mark Caton

As Assaf said, all of the entries were so awesome! It is quite humbling and I thank you all. Assaf, when I saw your entries I knew that one, if not both, would be among those chosen. I agree with the judges in giving the top nod to the one they did. Beautiful girl, composition, colors, everything about it. Congratulations!

The "Tardis" (I'm wondering how many here know what, or rather, WHO, that is... :action-smiley-020:) is a remarkable photo that brings back many late night television memories on public TV.

The frowning spider is priceless, Gilles!

Everyone else (too many to mention): excellent entries all!
