HI folks. I made this LCD loupe instead of paying CDN$80 for the Hoodman loupe. Its made from a Kaiser #2012 slide viewer ($7) and a Nikon rubber eyecup from the junk bin of a local camera shop ($!). The contact surfaces were sanded smooth and stick-on felt applied. The interior was painted flat black. The eyecup was trimmed so that it had to be stretched a little to fit over the viewer and stuck on with crazy glue. Electrical tape was applied for cosmetics and to assist with holding it on. A piece of 20 GA brass wire was put through two small holes and bent flush on the inside for the lanyard. The lip on the bottom locates on a ridge of my Lumix L1 perfectly.
All but a thin sliver of width is seen on the 2.5" LCD screen, making it easy to check composition and exposure in bright sunlight. It worked out very well!5993

Very nice, and it looks like you saved a bunch of money too.
