PRO:
- very sharp even wide open
- very nice bokeh
- compact and lightweight
- low price (120!!): most leica "R" lenses are downpriced.
- on 4/3rds cameras is eq to 270mm f/2,8
- colours are well balanced and contrasted, w/o any dominance.
- On an Italian Leica user forum, they've told me Elmarit is the best 135mm ever..

CONS:
- obviously manual focus (but no problem focusing with E-1)
- Leica-R adapter is not very easy to find (I've got mine on Ebay from China) and leica branded one is very expensive
- Old Leica type VII filters thread: you have to buy an adapter from TypeVII - 58mm

SOME TECHNICAL INFOS:
- 5 lenses in 3 groups
- 8 blades aperture
- aperture max: f/2,8
- aperture min: f/22
- closest focus distance: 1,5m / 5 feet
- distance scale (m): 1,5 - 1,7 - 2 - 2,5 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 7 - 10 - 20 - 50 - inf.
- distance scale (ft): 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 10 - 12 - 15 - 20 - 30 - 50 - 100 - inf.

Looks nice but I reckon the OM 135 2.8 gives it a run for its money . I will test out the one I have at the moment and find out , it's kind of on loan .
