Hi all,

The theme for March 2008 is "Creative Shadow Effects".
The contest runs from the 1st - 31st.

Please reduce your entry to 800 pixels in width and upload it to this album:

The photo must be taken in the month of the contest. You are allowed to submit one (1) photo. Although, if you change your mind and want to submit a different one we can remove the one previously submitted in the gallery. Some have expressed wanting to wait until the end of the month to submit theirs and that is fine.

It would be nice if your entry have a title. Please make sure the exif info is attached to the photo. If you don't include your username with the photo, please pm me so I know who it belongs to.

The entries will be judged according to these criteria:
Subject: Does the subject fit the theme?
Creativity: How effectively/dramatically/interestingly is the subject presented?
Composition: Has the subject been composed appropriately/interestingly?
Lighting: Has lighting been used appropriately/effectively for the subject?
Technical: Has the subject been exposed, focussed, etc appropriately/correctly?1st place and 2nd place winners will each have a choice of one of the prizes below. There will also be two who place 3rd and 4th, and they will have a chance at the end of the year for the Photographer of the Year.

um... Well I am having Ann run it this year. So basically I am sort of out of the loupe (pun) basically she has selected some judges.... And they are going to do the voting on the above criteria.

Oddly, nearly all of the entries were made using E-500s.
According to my reckoning most images were from E-3's.
The table is as follows:
E-3 = 4
E-1 = 3
E-500 = 3
E-330 = 2
E-400 = 1
Not stated = 2
Total = 17

When I viewed the entries, the majority were from E-500s (at least 5 or 6). I just found that interesting.
