It is a magnificent feeling to recognize the unity of complex phenomena which appear to be things quite apart from the direct visible truth.
- Albert Einstein

Sometimes life gets complicated, and our photos do too. Complicated scenes can provide a wealth of detail that rewards the viewer and can provide structure and sophistication for the creator. Let's enjoy these busier moments with our photographs for this assignment.

Fixed, thank you - although that would make for a complex assignment... you' have to just describe what you shot.

Okay, here's one I shot in the fall that not too many people like (my wife says "it's ok") but I do because of the structured, layered look to the shrubbery and the curved path through the woods, and then my father-in-law with his stick.

Here's a shot I took a little over a week ago. I deliberately underexposed to avoid blowing out the highlights, and then tweaked the levels a bit in PhotoShop to bring out the complexity of the detail in the smoke. Aside from sizing this down and adding a copyright notice to the EXIF data, that's the only change made to the original image straight out of the camera.

Just shot this several hours ago. It's a fairly busy photo as you have to really be looking at it to notice the beast hiding in plain view...

A lot going on here, but I tried to get the face to be the interest center. Shot with the E510 with the Z 40-150 (new) at 1/250, f/6.3, 150mm.

great shots everyone :). i always love checking out everyone's work. i especially love the "busy macro", carisi -- cool lines and layers.

i shot this one a couple of weeks ago during a rehearsal (i am a professional dancer by trade). i was really only trying to shoot the couple, but i ended up with all sorts of stuff in there :). enjoy.

cheers.
