This lens is average in sized for a 28mm f2.8 legacy lens. It is very nicely built, nice and smooth, feels of quality. The aperture ring is setup with half stops. It only has the slightest touch of softness wide open and is very very sharp stopped down. The colors and contrast are natural. The bokeh is nice, a little better than average . There is a touch of CA wide open, but CA is very well controlled. There is about 340 degrees of rotation on the focus ring. The ability to focus down to about 6" is a nice bonus. (word is that Magnicon is the house brand for Black's and are actually made by Tokina)
