Just looking at the US Olympus Website, http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital_slr.asp, it seems like the E600 is SRP 750$ without lens, while the E620 is SRP 700$ with a lens.

Is this is mistake? I thought the E600 is a downgraded version of E620. Am I wrong?

Give it time, the prices will come into balance soon enough.

Ritz Camera is having a sale on the E-600 kits on their web site. (http://www.ritzcamera.com/static/content/promos/weeklyad.html)

It's the same in the UK - the E600 model has limited circulation and those shops stocking it are holding the price higer than the big discounters are asking for the E620. Makes no sense

Caveat emptor is clearly a good motto

The simple solution is to buy the E-620 instead of the E-600 ;)

I bought my E600 with kit lens for 399 from Currys. Best price for equivalent E620 kit when I bought it was about 550.

Currys (store only) also had 35mm Macro lens for 99 and FL-36R for 159. Bargains!
