    Excellent pictures, the only thing i could suggest is that you might try to get a little more sky in the pictures. I just love the way IR makes the sky look with clouds.

    I tried to cut (scribe and snap) a cheap piece of ordinary glass to the correct dimension for my Canon ( 11mm by 12 mm) and it did not go too well. But i have not given up ...

    Just to clarify - the hoya r72 is going to be used for my canon G1 - the AA+IR-cut filter on that is 2mm so i think that it is a good fit.

    I agree avoid UPS at all costs... it is not even worth it - their brokerage charges are crazy.

    USPS service is the best around... their stuff is trackable -you can track it in the US with USPS...

    If i remember correctly, in the tower you are shooting through glass. I believe that the glass used in the the tower is very thick and this is what is causing this type of distortion.
