I'm lucky to have even gotten that shot, there were crowds everywhere and I was trying to stay with my group, so I had no time or space to compose, but your suggestions are great and I appreciate...

    Great Storm Trooper Costume

Yesterday (Friday July 27th) my entire college went to Comic Con in San Diego as a massive field trip. This was my favorite costume of them all!

    Re: E510 and Family Portraits

    Steve,
This seems to be a pbase issue, but the only way I have found to view the image is to view the source of the page and copy the image URL that IS there and is just not being shown.

Hi Julie, it seems that when you log in to Safe Mode, you are logging in as an administrator (usually the case) and the administrator has it's own desktop. If you download the file to the C: Drive,...

    Re: ISO 1600 Chicken

    Thanks for looking everyone,

Luke, this chicken was the only one not walking in circles and panicking every time a person approached the cage. So, it made it pretty easy to get a nice shot.

    Re: HDR Question

You need to shoot separate exposures, if you export exposure compensated images from ACR or Lightroom based on 1 image, Photoshop is smart enough to know that they came from 1 image.

Why are they labeled as 410/510? Aren't those 2 completely different cameras?

    Re: Why do I want a Sigma 24 f/1.8?

While we are on the topic, a guy in one of my classes had an E-500 and the 24mm 1.8 today. I got to see it in the flesh and hold it, it's huge! I can ask him where he got it on Monday.

    Re: E-400 "vs" E-410? Ideas?

If they are pretty much the same price, I'd go for the 410 in a heartbeat. Just my opinion though.

    Jamie

[EDIT]: The 410 also compresses the Raw files in-camera—if I'm not mistaken.

    Re: Pclix and E-System

The Pclix works fine, the infrared cable is a bit fiddly, but once you get it set up with a nice tight rubber band or something holding it onto the camera, it works well.

    Re: Interesting info on 410/510/"p1"

Looks like more than 3 AF points on the P1 is confirmed. Or was that known before—I know that we all assumed that much, but this seems like good news for all the pros.
