    Re: Frozen Olys

Nice shots! Love the outdoor Curling shot. I've never seen any of those here in Toronto. But I think I would prefer to be indoor. :)

I agree with Pickles, the blue inner frame is quite...

Re: Which compact camera do you use?

I'm actually quite a fan of the Canon P&S compact cameras. Specially the SD series. I'm still using an SD300 which I got 2 years ago and it does the job as a P&S. However, I seldom use it as I...

    Re: Shooting the moon

I notice that the moon tends to be yellow/orange when it's just above the horizon or when there are very thin clouds that move in front of it. Generally it's mostly gray when it's high above so a...

    Re: Shooting the moon

Good point Jens. Would an image at 1000mm fl using the TC be better than at 500mm without. I will have to give that a try sometime and see.

    Emily at 5mos

I have been quite busy lately with other things with this little one taking most of my time. I haven't posted much and have not posted a picture on here for quite some time. Here's a picture I took...

    Re: Toronto Street Scene

Nice shot. I'm rarely downtown on the weekends as I live up north in Markham but I have walked around the area a lot of times during the weekdays. Very nice place to be at. Here's some shots with...

    Re: Shooting the moon

Spot Metering + a tripod works great. I use mirror lockup also to minimize vibrations. Here's a set I took with the Tamron SP500 lens with 2X teleconverter....

    Re: A weird E1 discovery

That's odd. My E1 can view my E300 files with no problems. Maybe it's because I shoot RAW+JPG and it reads the raw files.

    Re: Photographing Christmas trees

How about using second curtain flash along with slow shutter? Slow shutter ensures you have the sparkle from the lights and the flash at the second curtain will make sure the tree is lighted. This...

Re: Ozray do you have the Discovery Channel?

They didn't show any thong wearing women. Just the lifeguards in a one piece suit competing. It's definitely a great show to watch in High Definition.

Re: Canon Flash with E-1 ???

I think it will work but you will have to set it at manual as TTL will not work. The 4/3s flashes are the same if you use them on non 4/3s cameras.

Ah, I didn't notice that. Great deal then.
  21. Re: Monitors: go with 2x20-inch or a single 24-inch

Luc, the new 2007FPW monitors are not as good as the old 2005FPW monitors. I highly suggest not getting these 20" wide monitors. The 24" is still a Samsung LCD so I suggest you go that route.
