I have migrated to µ-4/3 too, but do use my E-30 from time to time.
This site has suited my µ-4/3 needs, so that is not the reason for me posting so little. I think it has more to do with that...
It's always a bummer when your camera dies.
If you are going to shift to another system, it is a good idea to check what you are missing in the 4/3 (µ-4/3) system and see what system delivers...
Which lens did you use, and at what focal length (if a zoom)? Generally, a longer focal length will give a more flattering view.
Thanks for the link.
I have made a preset to load the camera profile and add lens corrections. That preset can be loaded during import. From what I understand, it is possible to set specific...
Took my trusty old E-30 and 50-200mm out for a spin.
If you know the hyperfocal distance, you might be able to find something at that distance to focus on. Not always easy, but it is the best advice I can give.
Good to hear that the printer cleaned up. My experience is that older printers have a tendency to clog up for good :(
OK. Then it's time to upgrade :)
When you are using the E-620, are you using RAW or JPEG fileformat? I find that shooting RAW with my E-30 (same ISO performance as the E-620) and using the latest Lightroom version, I can use ISO...
Welcome :)
That can happen. At least I have heard about that happens with Canon and Nikon, so I suspect that the same goes for Olympus.
I find it interesting that a tester like Ming Thein can make such bold statements, since they are all showing OOC JPEGs for now. With all the technology in the body, I don't think it could have been...
I think shutter blur is more problem caused by the shutter than the lens; but I have also heard it is more pronounced with some lenses.
Fortunately, the G7 has an electronic shutter mode that...
If I remember correctly, the new version is a little bit better optically. Also it is smaller and lighter, so I think it is worth the extra $100.
That was a really nice gift :)
You will find that the camera itself is well supported and there is firmware updates available. Install the Olympus Viewer software and connect the camera to your...
Impressive :)
What program do you use to edit your photos? I use Adobe Lightroom and found that if I select a different Profile (eg. Camera Natural) in the Camera Calibration section of Develop module, I get more...
I have never felt that my Olympus kit has been a hindrance for my photography. Sure, ISO performance have not always been best in class. But it is my lack of abilities that stop me being a...
Just google Mony Python Sex in a Canoe (it's NSFW ;) )
Oh yes. But there are also worse ;)
Gut, Besser, Gösser
A flaky adapter is a good guess.
You should not get any of the problems that the Sony people are reporting as the 4/3 lenses are designed for the same sensor size that µ-4/3 is using. The adapter...
Have you tried to take a photo of someone else, with yourself behind the camera? With the same camera-subject distance as you would use when taking the self-portrait?
Also. what is the shutter...
I was not aware that there was that much space under the seat. I found the video very educational and inspiring; thanks.
I have numerous photobags - but no one is exactly right :( Like, I have a...
