Honestly, Sony has been hitting home runs in the last year or two. The A7 III is a great camera. The A7R III is an even better camera. They have a lot of great lenses, and this is no doubt another...
Merry Christmas everyone!
Yeah, things have really died down!
On my part, I recently became a father. So my photographing priorities have changed, I've gone from travel and outdoor sports to basically just portraits, and...
Congrats - pictures look excellent.
I have been pondering buying one myself, alas, it's quite the purchase!
I do believe that the Java legacy version is another Java version in order to support programs for older operating system.
So just install the legacy Java and that's it.
Adobe has switched to...
Well, the a7II is the new version of the a7, but the "grade" of the camera is the same. Its a consumer grade camera. People just have a difficult time wrapping their heads around the fact that a...
Really great shots!
The Sony a7 is an entry level camera. Functionally, if you want to compare it with an Olympus camera, a good comparison would be the E-M10.
That said, only you can figure out what your needs are....
Oh wow, that's a nightmare of mine! In windy locations I always wrap the strap around my other wrist because I'm paranoid.
I prefer the color version, but IMO, the biggest problem here is her hand, especially elbow. Its just waaay too big and quite unflattering.
I was doing some cutting of my Thuja trees, and saw a small bird flying in and out of one of them. Decided to check it out, and found this little family!

What did you end up buying?
I'm genuinely curious, because I have the 60mm macro and for the longest time I have been thinking about digitizing some of my father's old pictures.
When I thought about digitizing my father's old slides, I did a little bit of research on the topic, and also came to the conclusion that the best bet is simply getting a scanner that can do slides....
I like it, looks like an old postcard!
How big is it? Looking at the spec sheet, it looks pretty big.
Laowa and Samyang/Rokinon are two different companies.
Difficult to say what the Laowa 7.5mm f/2 lens will be like, because this is their first m4/3 lens. At $499 a pop I would expect average...
I seriously doubt filters become "old". And certainly not 3 years. Smells like a ton of marketing BS.
I've got some Cokin A filters that I bought for $1 (that's another thing to keep in mind -...
I think that worked out surprisingly good for a TG-4!
Nice, how do you like the 12-100? I've been thinking about selling my 12-40 and getting a 12-100.
I normally copy all files to my computer, to sort them, delete unnecessary ones, do post processing, etc.
Afterwards, in order to get the files to iPad I sync the files using iTunes. Just go into...
If you're doing landscapes, the only advantage a bigger sensor/camera will get you is resolution. And nobody really cares a whole lot about resolution anymore because the platforms we view pictures...
Thanks everyone! :)

For me the deal breaker with the 14-54 was the 14mm. Just doesn't do it for me, with 14mm I was always compelled to bring an additional wide angle lens. With 12mm not so much, and I no longer bother...
