Wildlife Playing with my new e-30 - closeups

This camera is quite an upgrade from my e-500, I'm still figuring out it's capabilities so today i went after a few closeups with my 14-54. There is a young walnut tree in my yard that has had a run...

Re: my first macro with fl50 flash

I would like to know as well, I'm interested in that lens.

I do not have a 105 or the 150 macro, but I've been thinking about trying my pocket bouncer on my FL-50 w/ ZD 35mm macro. bounce it down...

    Re: casmera for kids

Bought my son an Oly FE110, but he really likes having a viewfinder. So I gave that to my 6yo daughter (who loves it, and takes some decent shots!), and gave my 8yo son, with much pomp and ceremony,...

    Re: minimizing vertical distortion, how?

Thanks FL. Wish I could have moved farther from the building and/or been able to get higher, but it's just not possible where it's situated.

Thanks for the tips, I'll put them to use in the...

    Re: minimizing vertical distortion, how?

Bill, that's really pretty good. I did much the same with photoshop, with image transformation tools, but one thing I didn't like is how the towers looked afterwards, they had an odd distortion,...

    minimizing vertical distortion, how?

I have the 14-54, which is all I have for wide angle at the moment. What technique do you use to minimize the "lean" in tall objects? Is it a matter of keeping your lens as close to level as...

    Re: Bissell Station

Thanks Luke, I converted from RAW using Oly Master and used Photoshop CS for PP. I used the magic wand tool and seperate levels adjustment layers to bring up the detail in the dark foreground areas....

    Re: Bissell Station

Hi Tony, thanks for the kind comments. I would have liked to have had the silos more vertical, however to get the composition I wanted required 17mm... not quite sure how to fix the lean in that...

Good luck to you this year. Personally, the thought of shooting weddings terrifies me and sends me screaming and running madly the other direction. ;)

Re: 40-150 costs much less on street ......

I have not yet had the pleasure of shooting with the 50-200, but from photos posted, it looks to be a terrific lens. I have the 40-150, and it does slightly purple fringe under extreme lighting...
