Re: Ultimate Lens Test, ...... and the OM 50/1.4

That is strange when they put a full page advert for the E400 in the BBC Sky at Night magazine. Strange bods marketing executives. :hmm:

Re: Ultimate Lens Test, ...... and the OM 50/1.4

Alec I grew up on the eastern side of Rotorua in the 60s and 70s. I can still remember them putting up the street lighting and spoiling the view, but up to that point it was very dark, especially...

Being in the southern hemisphere is the first step. Having been born in New Zealand and living there until moving to the UK as an adult I'm still even now amazed at how many more stars are visible in...

Re: More E-510 vs 1D MKIII

I frequent an aviation forum, and one of the professionals there got a new 1DmkIII and had to send it back because of image quality issues. This prompted a whole string of complains about Canons...

    Re: Pondering Primes

Some wide primes would be very nice, but initially we would not need the speed surly. Correct me if I'm wrong but wide lenses have an inherent deep depth of field anyway, no such thing a shallow DOF...

ENTJ Not sure I absolutely agree with this, but it has been about 5 years since I did one of these and they have usually been quite accurate :hmm:

    Re: Biggin Hill Airshow

Hi all. All these shots were with the 50-200 plus TC14. I used A mode to try and maximise my depth of field, and as the day was very bright I could have used ISO100 but used 200 and as a result the...

    Biggin Hill Airshow

Well I travelled forth to Kent with the E1 for a day of action. Always marginal conditions for the E1 trying to focus quickly but I'm pleased with these efforts. Any failings are definitely down to...

Re: A few feet from me

Great shot, I think the focus is spot on the eyes which is not always easy to achieve. I love the colours as well, the blue seems to pull the colour out of the bird and emphasize the detail.
