Like you, I sold most all of my 4/3 glass for m4/3. I still have the 50-200, which I may let go of in favor of the new panasonic 100-400. And, I still have the Sigma 105 macro. Not as big as the 150,...

My go to lens for big surf wave rider photography has been the 4/3 50-200 w/2x, and on the EM1, add the MMF3. The quality is good, but it was, as you can imagine, big and...
I use my 50-200 with a 2x teleconverter and the MMF3 on my EM1. It's a a bit of a beast, but it works quite well; it is my super telephoto set up. However, I just got the m4/3 75-300ii and that now...
Same here; once I got the EM1 the E5 sat on the shelf; after several months of that, I sold it; haven't looked back, wouldn't go back...Sold most of the 4/3 lenses and now have several m4/3.
I think your best bet is sending in to Oly repair. The cost to repair an FL50r, according to the support/repair site/form is about $102. If they can't repair it, they'll send you a refurbished unit.
I'll second the notion that the 12-60 was the real deal, a great lens with a most useful range. I used it on my em1, with mmf3, for many months, but when I got the 12-40, I was using that instead....
those features were not listed; they've got to save something for the EM1ii model! Given the trajectory, with an EM5ii and an EM10ii, an EM1ii is next on the list. Two other kind of nifty features...
Some very neat features coming in November!

I had the 7-14 full 4/3 model. I sold it. Now with m4/3, I went with 9-18. The 2mm on the short end is not insignificant, but is it really needed. It wasn't for me. The m4/3 9-18 does just fine, it...
I think the airlines these days are doing random inspections of checked-in bags so not having the tripod in a checked-in bag won't necessarily prevent the bag from being inspected. And, just because...
Maybe it's not quite fair to compare the 40-150 f/2.8 to the 50-200 f/2.8-3.5. Rather, compare it to the 35-100 f/2...:)

Thanks Jim; when we greeted and he said his name, Hlynur (her name is Ipek), I knew he was from some place odd. Add to that, he's a neurosurgeon specializing in Epilepsy, and you have a rather rare...
You won't be disappointed with the 12-60; as I said, it was my all time favorite lens. I still have it, just don't use it now as the 12-40 lives on the camera. I also really like the 9-18.
I'm curious as to why you went with the 12-60 and not the 12-40? The 9-18 comes in both 4/3 and m4/3 versions. Which did you get? The reason I ask is because if size and weight are the issues, you're...
Here on Maui for their honeymoon from Philadelphia, he is originally from Iceland and she from Turkey. We had a fun photo shoot one morning. EM1 w/12-40 and FL50

Nice addition; I just added an image from my newly purchased m4/360mm f/2.8 macro
I have been using a Sigma 105 f/2.8 macro lens on my 4/3 gear for years. A couple of years ago I picked up a ZD 50mm f/2 lens. And, now that I'm shifting over to m4/3 was using those lenses with the...
My other tripod is a Manfrotto 190XPROB with ballhead. I find myself reaching for the Dolica more often these days because its quite a bit lighter and bit smaller, but sturdy. Looking at the body and...
If you want a bit smaller, much lighter, and very inexpensive, yet good enough, consider this one. I got one because it fit in my smaller suitcase for travel and found it works well with my EM1,...
beautiful images and gracious gesture on your part....
