Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

    Hi Jeff,

I am sorry to have to tell you that there are no markings on the hood, except for "IN", "OUT" and "SIGMA".

    Regards

Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

Olympus E-M1 MarkII with SIGMA 50-500mm F4-6.3 DG HSM through an MMF-3 adaptor.

    1/500s, f/9.0, ISO:200,...

Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

Here's another one, but using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk II this time (A Bristol Fighter scaring a flight of ibis):

    1/500s, f/9.0, ISO:200 at FL 363mm

Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

Up to about 400mm, the lens is surprisingly sharp. Between 400mm and 500mm, it loses a bit of definition. I think that I am going to have to set up a bird bath and feeder in my back yard so that I...

Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

A couple of weeks ago, the light was fairly good and the skies were clear after the rain had cleared away. I decided to go outdoors and play with the Bigma again. Settings on my OM-D E-M1 were as...

Re: Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.2 APO DG HSM

I find the autofocus to be slow, but accuracy was a bit of a problem until I started setting the autofocus to S-AF with only one central point. Now I am getting a lot more "keepers".

    Another...

Sigma 50-500mm 1:4-6.3 APO DG HSM

Taken with an Olympus OMD E-M1 using an MMF-3 adaptor.

This scruffy little thing was showing a very close interest in my barbecue. He would probably have burnt himself if the lid hadn't been...
