Chit Chat Re: where did everybody go!

I think that people are using Facebook instead of forums, nowadays. This is a real shame because FB does NOT work as a forum replacement. Even using its "groups," you cannot easily find old topics or...

Yes, I also frequent mu-43 forum. It's hard to say why one forum kind of sputters while another picks up steam, but that's the way it is.

I cannot help you with the repair question, but you could consider buying a used camera from KEH: http://www.keh.com/

Chit Chat Re: where did everybody go!

I switched to Canon when it became apparent that Olympus was abandoning DSLRs (and I didn't like the early m43 offerings). But I jumped back with Olympus when they introduced the E-M10. So I am now...

I have used the P wide-angle holder with a 9-18 4/3 lens and it worked fine (no vignetting). It seems like it ought to work with your lens, I should think. Good luck! :)

Chit Chat Re: where did everybody go!

I agree that Facebook has taken over a lot of the functions that forums used to have. I don't come to this forum much any more because there is so little activity. However, there is a lot of activity...

Yes, I agree. Feather detail is always the Achilles heel of wildlife photography, I think.

I don't mean to be skeptical about a new poster, but doesn't that OP seem a lot like spam - a very generic question from a person who has never posted before. Hey Zack0, are you a real person?

I have the same Samyang 7.5 fisheye for m43 and it seems to be very well built.

  10. Digital Darkroom Re: When you need help you aways go home (help! Photoshop help!)

I'd recommend a hybrid of what others have said above:

I agree. I have to keep a little hand-written "cheatsheet" in my camera bag, just to remember what each Myset does and whether I have it assigned to a mode dial position or not.

Thanks for the clarification, Michael. I should also mention that it seems that the EM5II still has Mysets, so my post above was mostly wrong! Rule of thumb - read reviews before you purchase!

I use mysets with my E-m10 and like them. From what I have read, they have been eliminated from the e-m5II and e-m1II, so stick with the e-m10 (1 or 2).

I agree with Gunn and Edmunds that a scanner is the best way to go. I have used the camera method mentioned above, but a scanner is easier and probably better.
